Stock intake is pretty good actually and hard to improve on. Personally I would put a 650 AVS on it but there are lots of good choices out there. Just don't put an AFB on it.

 :iagree:
The factory intake is one of the best , not worth $300 to go sideways IMO
Carbs you want 2 x the CI so 650-700 CFM , My preference is Proform or QuickFuel or Holley HP series
EFI rules if you can afford it

I keep hearing about EFI nightmares.

they got the bugs worked out??
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

get a Thermoquad

does your engine have the OEM cast intake... with the spread bore design ? If so....   one more reason to pick up a "new TQ "

Greetings Juergen

BTW  my 340  runs great with the TQ   better than   EDE AFB  or AVS...
