clutch purchase problems

 >:(  grrr.. i have been looking for a NEW clutch set for my car and have had no luck...does anyone have a good source for a 70 440 w18 spline trans...things go good till i tell the people i want new parts then there is no help for me,... is it just me??  ???..i had a reman clutch once and it gave all sorts of problems...  :(

 I could probably get you one locally but I have no idea where you are ???
Personally I would use a McLeod pressure plate B&B or B&B Long style. Have you tried Summit??

montana here,locally i can only get the cover new all the other parts are reman i have tried sach's,centerforce,i found one on summits website a brand i am unfamiliar with....ram... i will call them up and get more info cuz the app is for 426-440 up to 69 ...thanks this is a start!  ::)

Hi...

Ram is ok....I had it in my previous Challenger...

Never gave it time to break in and it held more than a year before it started slipping. (with ocassional track abuse)...

Just my .02 cents....

I have a 70 340 Cuda, pistol grip 4 speed.It has a Mcleod clutch and plate. I am very satisfied with it.Its a bit stiff but works well and does not burn.Check in on one of these maybe.Good luck
