Dash lights and wiper/washer problem
« on: June 12, 2015 - 01:36:39 AM »
Seems like I lost both wiper/washer and all dash lights at the same time in my 71 Cuda. Couldn't find any fuses for these... What am I missing here? Is there a circuit somehere that can be broken?
Appreciate feedback!

Check all your switches.  Had this happen to me and had a bad switch. I checked all components and ran them with 12volt at the plug in. Just take your time there and be sure what is hot to turn stuff when you check.
Its just a little 340 with a miss

I have no power in to the swich after testing. Is there a separate fuse somewhere...that I don't see?

Dash lights and your wiper setup are seperate.

So check your orange connection under your dash as it probably came unplugged. Or your ground for the dash lights is poor.

Where the wiper connection occurs I would suspect that the switch failed and you need to replace it. Fairly easy to do.

I was thinking ground.. both need to be grounded but you should still read power to the switches

You need a good ground for the dash so both will work

Absolutely no power coming in to the swiches. I was hoping to find a broken fuse...but not yet.  :banghead: Will re-check the ground!

Check that you have current in both sides of the fuse in every fuse slot in the box.
