Steam cleaning questions
« on: June 12, 2015 - 01:27:43 AM »
I've got a couple decades of grime on the undercarriage and associated parts...  I'm hoping to do some suspension work and fix a few leaks andn wondered if steam cleaning the underside beforehand might be a good idea.  How well does it work and are there any drawbacks like stripping the paint, or damaging rubber, or splattering in areas that currently don't have much grime?

I steamed clean the whole underside of my car.  No paint removal, unless it was already lose. It did remove most of the under coating, and grease and grime. As for blowing dirt and water into body seams......Nope.

I would go for it.  You will like the results.
