Intake gasket - 440

I have the fel-pro intake gaskets with pan. The instructions say to attach all the gaskets to the metal pan prior to installation and to let it dry thoroughly. Use fast acting adhesive. That's all the description they give. What kind of adhesive would you use for that?
Pretty sure I put them together dry 15 years ago?

I use the paper gaskets between the heads & pan only , an anerobic sealer is best as fuel eats silicone , then just seat the intake on the pan .  I doubt you will get the bolts started with all 4 gaskets in there

i used paper gasket above and below pan, but had to enlagre one side
of the bolt holes in the intake  slightly.  Holding fine for 15 years.
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

so you get a better, more long lasting seal!

Apparently oil leaks are common at the front and rear of the intake where the valley pan hold downs are.

RTV black is what I will use.


OK. But how come?

ya, in the corners, so just use a little more RTV there. But no RTV for the intake gasket.
