Or Valvoline VR1.  If your running flat tappet cam you need zinc.

I use Mobile 1 fully synthetic 5W-30
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

If I understand correctly mineral oil is better than synthetic?

no , synthetic is better but it has to have enough ZDDP content if you are using a flat tappet cam .
With a full roller cam system other oils will work

Mobil 1 15W50 has the high ZDDP, and Castrol Edge Syntec 5W50 (marked on the label Specially formulated for Classic Cars) as well. Both full synthetic oils. Also have some VR1 Valvoline Dino Oil on hand too.

Sometimes that's all I can find where I live.
