Any chance the star wheel adjusters are locked up too far?

Checked the shoes, they are correct. Adjusted the star wheel out for play and no difference. Drive backwards with brake on for adjustment and still the same. The adjustment wheel does work.
need info on the rod length.

Basically it need to just touch the piston the rear of the master but not depress it at all .

I searched the interweb some for a rod length and so far only info is that the power booster for disk brake style has a shorter rod , but haven't found an exact  size

The rod a 2 piece unit & is threaded / adjustable
