71 440 / 727 supposedly run and drive. I know what the "iron" is worth... 440's in my parts are getting scarce....

$700?  :dunno:  Around here 440n are around 400-500 and 200 for the 727 ?  " supposedly run and drive" to me just means it's rebuild able if it's not overbore?

If it's an HP block and you have the steel crank, six pack rods, and a good set of heads  - anywhere from 500-1000 bucks or thereabouts.

Hard part is finding a block that isn't at the end of it's life or have a crack or something wrong with it.
