AMD 4 speed manual sheet metal with Tremec
« on: June 22, 2015 - 02:09:53 PM »
I think I already know the answer to this question, but i'm currently converting my car to a manual  transmission.  I was going to buy the AMD patch panel that goes into the floor to clear the shift rods.  I was curious if this patch panel will also work with the Tremec 5 speed transmission.

thanks

Thanks for the reply.  I''ve read with the 6 speeds you have to cut more of the trans tunnel out but the 5 speeds should fit right in if i'm correct.

Yes 6 speeds have a "center mounted" shifter, while the 5 speeds have a shifter in the stock location :2cents:

If your using the Tremec now, then do not fasten the panel down until you have the tranny mounted and drive line angles all checked out. Its a lot easier to get the clearances that way. Just in case.
