Electric Water Pump for 440?
« on: July 01, 2015 - 10:42:39 AM »
With the hot 440 engine I'm intending to build, I want it to be cooled very effectively so as to increase its longevity and maintain performance. This includes a new aluminum radiator, and I heard about an electric water pump having an advantage over mechanical ones? Do I really need one? I was intending to do a little strip racing with this car. I was looking at Meziere Enterprises electric pumps, and I'm not sure if I'd need a 35 GPM or a 55 GPM, or what a reservoire style pump is?

electric water pumps don't cut it. I tried.
I use mechanical, with alum rad and electric fan.

 :iagree:
Electric pumps are good for race only , on the street a high efficiency mechanical pump is usually better
