    Have 15x6 in the front and 15x8 under the rear... Dad wants the equivelant of the old 60 series tire, do they still make the sizes or what is the crossover? would like to have about 9iches of tread in the back, we did NOT modify the fender wells at all. What brands now? Dad was looking into Kelly's??? no idea. some tips and maybe pics would help... Thanks

     I think you could fit 295 50's on the 8" rims.

    I have N50's in the rear.. I like the stance.

     :iagree: - yes, as lomg as you have the tire backspaced proper you can fit that big of a tire.

    And yes, they still make a 60's series tire.
    I'm currently using firestone firehawk indy 500's - they even have "in beteen" sizes - for example I have a 65 series up front on my car.

    popular sizes are 295/50 or 275/60 for the rear  & use a smaller tire for the front but in the same series like a 265/50 with the 295 / 50 for example

     Hey 71fish what is the rim size and back spacing on the back of your cuda, I love that look, I'm trying to get that kind of meat under my 72 Challenger.
     Did you have to modify anything, move springs in? roll lip? B body rear end? Does it rub?
     Also who makes your N50x15's? And is the N50x15 the same size as 295/50r15 or 305/50r15?
     Sorry for all the questions, but the stance and tire size can make or break a car, and I want to get this right.

    Hey kids, newbie here.... I recently saw a 71 Cuda running (I hope I get this right....)

    295/50r15's on rallye's. It looked stupidly fat in a good old-school way. The car was not tubbed, and he even had wheelwell moldings on there. When I asked the owner how he managed that, he said, "A-body rear. It's two inches narrower, and they fit with Wheel Vintiques standard backspacing."   Were those Rallyes 10 inches wide?  9 inches?  It sure looked it....

    I nodded and kept staring. He had clearly used a spring relocation kit, but it was only the bolt-in kind... (?!)

    Does this combo of A-body rearend, bolt-in relocators, and an E-Body chassis somehow magically match up to allow 9 or 10-inch rallyes to bolt in under a Cuda?

    I wish I knew enough about it to answer, so what do you think, guys?

    I just took g-60  -14 off the front on my cuda and put on 205 70 14 (was wanting the taller tire for better steering on my car but I'm running 12.50-26 15 in the rear with room to spare inside the wheel well on 10x15 wheels  if I had the right back space on my wheels it would all fit inside the wells fine (I had these mags for 30 years and cant give them up now ....LOL)


    my sig file pic shows the g60 on the front  the rears are different than im running now tho
