Interior screw head color on Cuda?
« on: July 07, 2015 - 06:48:34 PM »
Are the screw heads supposed to be silver or match the interior trim panels?  My 74 Cuda trim is all black. ..
Thanks in advance.

Yep. All chrome.

And you'd be surprised how many of them will clean up very nicely with a med-stiffness wire brush.

Wood bleach(oxalic acid) also works good at removing light rust from chrome plated interior fasteners.  I guess people who restore bicycles use it a lot.  It's a powder you put in hot water, then soak the parts in it.

Yes, the majority of Challenger interior fasteners are chrome.  There are a few on the dash as well as some on the console that are black.
