Spring Clamp movement???
« on: May 21, 2005 - 08:20:04 PM »
Hey guys, quick question, I had to move the front spring clamp backwards about two inches on my A-body XHD spring (passenger side) in my cuda.  The clamps were hitting the caltracs I just installed.  How will moviing the spring affect performance, ride, etc???  Of course I broke the little tab off when I moved it sO I'll have to get it welded tomorrow but was just wondering if there were any drawbacks to having done this?  Also, what actually holds the springs together?  Thanks, Tyler

it will make  no difference , the center bolt holds the springs together , the cllamp helps to stifen the front section& hold the leafs straight , but with the Caltracs on the front clamp will do nothing morte than hold the springs straight
