If your looking for originality, than try finding 71 seats. If you cant find them, then go with the 70 seats. The 70 seats are almost identical to the 71, except the release button is longer and for this reason, the plastic seat backs are different on a 70. You can get the 70 seats recovered in 71 skins by a decent upholstery shop, but you MUST have the matching seat foams. The upholstery shop will have to make the thin pieces of metal where the skin is attaches to the springs (they will charge you extra for this), but other than that you shouldnt have any problems. I personally have pieced together a 71 seat, a half of a 70 seat, and (2) 72 seats to make a set of 70 seats. BTW...the 72 seats have a hard plastic back on it, but the rear frame to the seat does not have the springs like a 70-71 does, so you cant use them.
