Help choosing stall speed please.....
« on: July 28, 2015 - 11:12:42 PM »
I have a '71 Challenger with a 472ci Hemi crate motor, cross ram (2 - 750 quick fuels), stock cam (I think...I can verify....motor at shop/dyno now), 727 and 4:10s and 30" Mickey Ts (if that matters).

I am being told it will end up around 540-560hp and high 500s torque (final numbers Friday).

What stall should I be buying for street use and hot rodding around?

Thanks in advance.....

Where do I get this convertor from as well?

you need to match it to the cam , gearing , tires size etc but with a stock cam if that is what you have a 2200 stall should work well

Challenger - You`ll wish You Hadn`t

Stock cam - I was going to say 2200-2500 stall.

Kinda like fly fishing, match the hatch.
