Classic Car Dealer iin Napierville, Quebec
« on: June 02, 2015 - 01:30:33 PM »
I was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with MPR Motors in Napierville, Quebec? They have some nice looking Mopars for sale and indicate they do a lot of work on the vehicles themselves. Appears they do both body and mechanical work. Again, the cars look very nice, anyone have any dealings with them?

74, I don't really know. I was tracking down a car and it led to their website. I was looking at all the vehicles they had and they were quite nice. In reading the vehicle descriptions, a lot of the work on the vehicles was done by MPR, both mechanical and body and paint.. In reading their 'about us' page it seems they have roots in drag racing in the area and work specifically on Mopars. It does appear they are just starting out.

A friend of mine who restores wiper motors, latches, etc...lives 30mins away from that address. He's lived in Quebec all his life and has never heard of these guys. He says for the most part, the Mopar community in Quebec is a tight knit group...

He says proceed with caution...

Thanks Alan. That's why I posted on this forum in the first place. Most Mopar folks are close knit, wherever they are, that's why it's surprising that no one has heard of them or done any business with them. It seems like they just appeared recently on the Mopar scene. Fanatic, they do have some nice looking cars. They indicate that they are open to negotiation and for US customers to take advantage of the exchange rate. I guess I'll have to pick up the phone and give them a call. What a concept.

I have known the Dealer Principal of MPR for about 18 months. He is a Mopar enthusiast whose accumulation of Mopars has grown very quickly. He is now looking to turn over some of the cars he has purchased to facilitate the purchase of some additional vehicles. He has recently registered as a dealer in Quebec to help with his purchases and sales.
This individual is a well established person in the business community and is very straight forward and honest. I have not bought anything from him but we have met a few times as he has shown some interest in a few cars I have had recently. He appears to be genuinely looking for good quality cars and is on a bit of a learning curve as prices have quickly risen in the past few years for the lower production higher demand models.

I found it odd, that on his web site there was no "name", not even it the contact area.
I like to deal with people by their name. When you're a reputable guy and people know you, add your name to your business and soon people will know your business is reputable too :2cents:

Rcode, did you look at his cars or did he look at your cars? You're right Alan, not a name to be found.

I have not seen any of the cars in the inventory. The  dealership is less than six months old and is not that well known at this time.
The principal has a fairly high profile position with a major firm in Quebec and may have not posted his name to keep the two activities separate. Or it could simply be an oversight.
There is a 'contact us' button on the site and a phone number.
I have told you what I know and do not endorse people or businesses lightly.
Alan has  formed an opinion based on what ' he ' believes is necessary on a web site, no phone call or interaction at all with someone he has never met.
He may have jumped the gun as this man's reputation is impeccable. He just has travelled in a different circle than many of us until recently. Hell, he could even be an excellent potential customer for someone such as Alan.

Please re-read my post..."When you're a reputable guy..." is what I wrote....I'm assuming the guy is one of the good guys based on your above info. I never said anything negative about this mystery man. :2cents:

My friend, Stephan Fournier, was questioning who this new company was as well, and he knows just about every "Mopar guy" in Quebec....he suggested moving forward with caution, which is what I wrote earlier.

If this person is well known by name, then I don't see an issue with adding it to his companies web site....seems logical to me.... :dunno:
