    What size is the oil plug behind the filter plate. And not the one that holds the filter plate on.
     I know it is not N.P.T. thread pitch. Close as it comes is a 3/8.
    My motor is ready to go on the Dino and I need this plug ever so bad

    Motor is a 1969 340 out of a Dart.

    72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

    1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

    it is a large tubular plug & threads in with a 3/8 drive extension , not sure on the thread size but any LA block should have it

    Should be a std pipe / block plug any machine shop should have used ones around

    I found the plug. Now the motor shop has it done and going to finish paying for it tomorrow.

    It was a standard but an odd ball size. I forgot what they called it. It's was smaller then 3/8 npt. Not by much tho.
