Dumb Aftermarket UCA Question

Okay....These QA1 upper control arms manufactured for E Bodies appear to have polyurethane bushings.

Does the inside diameter of the socket allow for you to ditch those poly bushings and press in factory type rubber bushings ?

Dumb answer -
 I doubt the factory bushings would hold in there , the end is a tube , th factory arm only had approx 3/16 where it had the interference fit , the chances of the tube holding the bushing tight would be minimal

Not on a Mopar... They don't have the step like a GM.... Press fit the whole way in... But I agree it's doubtful they are the same diameter as OE Mopar bushings.... Might contact QA-1 & ask if they offer alternative bushings...

They ride hard and tend to squeak  and mixing poly with rubber is no good so if you use these uppers then you would need to replace ALL the rubber bushings in the car with Poly bushings.

Not on a Mopar... They don't have the step like a GM.... Press fit the whole way in... But I agree it's doubtful they are the same diameter as OE Mopar bushings.... Might contact QA-1 & ask if they offer alternative bushings...

Agreed the bushing is not stepped  but the arn has a minimal contact area which is why they often had the support ring pressed on the other side

Why can't you mix them?

                                       They have grease fittings.

Might have to go another direction if you don't want poly's
