Heater water valve placement
« on: October 31, 2012 - 04:04:42 PM »
I have an ac challenger with a/c. I'm trying to locate where on the fender this mounts and which bracket to use. I also need to know where the cable from the hot/cold lever goes through the firewall .
Can someone with this installed take a picture of it in is proper place.
Thank you.

 .hej. i got those 2 brackets with my nos heater valve to,but they are not what yoy need.Bill Rolik enterpises,BRE has a copy of the oem bracket that fits like a glove, its nothing like those 2 brackets in your pick. get it. on my -70 cuda the cable comes out of the same grommet that the vacuum supply goes through.that grommet is on the passenger side of the car,its mounted with 3 screws.so ..if you have 2 holes in that grommet the cable should probably pass through it.if only 1 hole in that grommet, then it should probably pass through the fire wall at the mc, and your cable should have a thin plastic grommet/christmas tree on it where it enters thru a tiny hole in the fire wall.  did that help?

Thanks Guys ..... this has been a mystery as the brackets on ebay are incorrect.   Now resolved.

The inner apron should have dimples where you need to drill the holes once you have the correct bracket. :2cents:
