727 suggestion for stock rebuild
« on: October 20, 2015 - 10:47:26 AM »
rebuilding 727 from 70 Plymouth cuda w 340.

I am looking for what is suggested to rebuild 727 trans to new (stock.)
what "kit" would be decent but not over kill, as most I find are meant for some form of racing.
I want for mostly just street driving, a few tire spinning moments etc. but nothing crazy.
looking for some suggestions of a decent kit.
I find many kits offering various parts like bands, Clutches, Gaskets, Seals
Filter, rings, discs, Shift Kit etc. wondering with a stock rebuild , which ones of these is necessary ,
I do want it to function like new, but again , new stock, (maybe a mild mod) but not a hard shift/ride.

also previous owner said the "reverse was slow",
any ideas of what additional parts I may need to correct this problem.

thanks
