Mopars participating in Pensacola Cruise In

Fellow Mopars would like your support on Saturday, November 28, when the first annual Pensacruise Car Show and Cruise-In will be held. The original plan was to hold the show in downtown Pensacola, Florida, so that the public could view and vote for their favorite vehicles. The city did not buy into that fully as it would adversely affect stores downtown during the busiest shopping weekend of the year so the show will be in a parking lot at the end of the pier. Because of that, there will be limited access to the area (no other close by public parking and adjacent streets closed due to the event) so they decided to make this a "social media" event and have people vote using various social media or email accounts. They have posted pictures of all of the registered vehicles on the web site so people can view them and vote for their favorites. Personally, I think people who actually attend and see the cars should be given paper ballots to vote but the people putting on the show are not doing that. So since the promoters have decided to turn this inaugural event into a social media circus, we would like to reach out to the MOPAR community to see if we can out-vote the Corvettes, Mustangs and Camaros that usually win at shows like these due to their large clubs in the area.  We believe our MOPARS while smaller in quantity are greater in quality.  People will vote using social media accounts (Facebook/Twitter/Google/G-mail/Yahoo/AOL and Live) starting at noon on Saturday, November 28. Each account can cast only one vote per car but can vote for as many cars as they like. All of the MOPAR owners in the event would appreciate it if each of you could take a few minutes on Saturday and cast a vote for every MOPAR!   Below is the link to the registered cars.  The cars labeled as "Vote for Me" are in the show part and eligible for votes.  Those labeled as "Cruisin'" did not pay to be in the show, they are only participating in the free Cruise-In portion of the event.  All of our MOPARS thank you! http://www.pensacruise.com/browse

I'd like to thank all of the forum members who took time to vote on-line yesterday in support of the local Mopars at the 2015 Pensacruise event.  With your help, the Mopars did really well in a show of 400 vehicles.  The 2004 Dodge Rumble Bee (#353) won second place in the 2000 decade class, a 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger (#166) took second place in the 1970's decade class and my 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda (#104) won first place in that class.  The People's favorite overall went to the bronze with red stripes 2012 Dodge Challenger Classic (#125).  All of our Mopar driver's thank you!
