Challenger Factory Leather Interior Question ???

In 1970 if your Challenger came with HRX9 black leather/vinyl seats, did your door panels automatically get the carpet along the bottom or was that only an SE or RT/SE deal ?

First H6X9 would be black vinyl, not leather but I know that's not the point of your question.

But yes carpeted door panels were tied to the seat material, not the model. If you got leather or cloth seats you got the carpeted door panels.

I have never seen an SE decontented down to vinyl seats though I have heard of at least one. I would think it should not have carpeted panels, but since SEs had their own door inserts they may have just kept the carpeted panels. Again, not your point, but I find that stuff interesting.

Where is the best place to buy the door carpet panels??    I have the black leather inserts for my Challenger and often thought that the carpet panels would be a nice touch.

You can get them from Legendary, with theirs you get the new carpets complete with vinyl border around the outside perimeter like original, and new cardboard inserts, but they do not come with the chrome reflectors. I also found this place but haven't ordered any - price seems cheap so it makes me wonder if they include the vinyl border. Probably no cardboard inserts either but those would be easy enough to make.
