White Leather
« on: November 30, 2015 - 12:07:28 PM »
Hey Guys,

I am interested in changing from black to white interior. I have emailed legendary and they replied this morning stating the white leather for the front and rear seats would be a special order. Is this so? Should I be going somewhere else?

Rear seats never came in leather, only vinyl, even with black. :2cents:

I'm almost certain white leather was never a option in 1971 Cuda, not sure about other years. :clueless:

So Legendary saying they are special order is probably correct, it could also mean they have none in stock.

Right,  I just got an email from them explaining just that - rear seats were vinyl. Leather was available for front only in 71 apparently. I will see what they come back with for a quote...

As far as I know 70 challenger S/E and barracuda gran coup had leather front seats, and they made A 71 gran coup, also available was A premium leather package that included an over head console on both models.

I could not imagine this , if I wear a white Tee shirt for 1 hr it is ruined & will never come clean , white vinyl is tough but easy to clean if you are diligent , white leather ok fr a show car maybe !!

So....$4813 US dollars, includes shipping for everything - leather for both front and rear seats, headliner, door panels including arm rests and quarter panels. I will have to stew on this for a while. I think I like black.....

You don't want interior panels from Legendary....Last I heard they DO NOT carry the Metro panels, only the old Palco garbage :2cents: I could be wrong, it's been ahile.

Thanks Alan - I will check into this. My original plan was to finish the car (all the mechanical stuff) and then look at changing the interior next year.
