1972 "Light Gunmetal Metallic"
« on: December 12, 2015 - 07:40:56 PM »
I ran my fender tag and VIN number for my '72 Challenger and found that the original color was GA4--"Light Gunmetal Metallic." Does anyone have an example of this color and know where I can get it? I was looking around on Google and Bing images and found numerous examples but they all either lean towards a more traditional silver color to a blue/silver color.

And on a side note" the interior is B5--Medium Blue. Quite a strange color combination but will still be neat to see. Does SEM or anyone make a correct dye for the interior panels?

I've been looking at this color for a while. Here are some pics I've collected.

It was one of the 2 top picks on deciding my color.
Timeless, smooth, easy on the eyes. Subdued yet loud.

Love that color.

The only thing that's holding me back is that it looks so different depending on the light, the camera, the monitor, and I can't tell what it will really look like in person. Matter of fact, Tony tells me that he thinks some of the formulations out there for reproducing the color are incorrect.
