70 Cuda 383 starting issue
« on: November 18, 2015 - 10:44:18 AM »
I have a 70 Cuda in the shop and the customer told me that when he shuts the car down a lot of the time he has to jump the solenoid for just a second and then he can start it with the key.  Not thinking starter as that would have nothing to do with what he does to fix it.  Anyone have any common issues.

While I'm on here the car likes to die at stops after it's fully warmed up...  Carb was rebuilt and it runs great otherwise.

On the dying at stops check if it has an idle solenoid. I've had the solenoids go bad and not hold intermittently causing the car to stall.

I agree, work from the cheapest to the most expensive fix.

Most likely the starter relay.
