    727 with slow reverse

    working on 727,
    previous owner of trans claims, "it works great other then a very slow reverse."

    any ideas of what would cause this or what I might need to correct this?
    I am rebuilding this entire tranny but just want to know if something other
    then a standard rebuild kit might be needed to correct.

    Low/reverse band could be smoked causing it to slip in reverse.

    converter draining back and it is taking a couple sections for it to engage into reverse after startup?
