After loosing Junior it's taken me awhile to get back in the saddle. But I did, this is Tzar, a GSD Czech bloodline sable coated rescue I got from https://www.facebook.com/Rettungs-Haus-Shepherds-Inc-183705101718902/ I can not say enough great things about this place....

Nice looking Dog Biggs.
Glad to hear you have a new best friend.

Awesome Shepard Bigs.. I've always loved GSD's.... Had a few, last one was a rescue that was somewhat misrepresented...  He was still sedated while he was healing & he came off as a totally mellow Shepard pup..... Wrong!!! He was like a Tasmanian Devil Shepard... :smilielol:

So here's the rest of the story...

When I found him he & his litter had been abandoned in a remote canyon, the rest of the litter had been killed by coyotes & he was pretty torn up... A sheriffs deputy found & rescued him, brought him to a local vet fully expecting him to be put down.... But the vet felt his wounds weren't as serious as they looked... He wound up with forty stitches & these weren't little clean neat stitches these were large bunching type stitches to pull the fur back together cause his whole side was torn open... But it was only the outer skin, he had no organs damaged... So he wound up with a large X shaped scar on his side where all the fur had been pulled back together....

And he was a little psychotic, with an intensity that was kinda scary.. But remember when I adopted him he was sedated & mellow...  :grinno:

Well as he grew I noticed a few things that had me questioning his GSD make up.... Then I took him to a different vet who takes care of local Police dogs... He took one look & said he's a mix of GSD & Belgian Malinois... If you know anything about Malinois they are like GSD's on steroids, the intensity, the focus...In recent years they are often used in anti terrorist/police/military service because of their work drive...

Anyway he passed away about ten years ago & I've had Siberian Huskies since then....   I love my Shepards but they scare allot of people, FWIW Huskies scare some people but it seems they attract pretty girls... Wish I knew that 30+ years ago... :smilielol:
