Clean, smart, no nails to scratch paint, and loveable. Heck my landlord, an old timer here in Kissimmee loves the idea.       :rebel:

WoW! Of course, you are correct. Sorry I was such an (select whatever word fits) to you.

I hate to see animals bought on a whim and discarded or neglected.

No need for me to be so harsh - at least you were a gentleman about it. (more than I can say for myself). Good luck!

Exactly what I was thinking. Even cars go better with bacon.

One of the best dogs I ever owned, was owned by a neighbor. kept on a 6' chain tied to a tree. Black Lab mix. Owner beat it regular with a 2 x 4, because it broke the chain and jumped the fence. One day, owner was loading him up. I asked what he was doing?
Owner said he was taking him to be put to sleep, because he kept breaking the chain and jumping his 6' fence.
I said I'd take him. he was 1 year old at the time.
One of the best dogs I ever had the pleasure's of owning (or did he own me?)

My fence was one of those garden wire things that are about 1' tall. He never jumped it once. If he could figure out how to open a gate, Hell YEAH! he would be gone! lol. And he was smart enough to do just that.
Any gate, any type of latch.
Off squirrel hunting/barking. That was about it, though. Never jumped a fence when I owned him. One of the best dogs I ever had.
Had a weird habit, of being friendly when people came over. Then going off to a corner and growling and drooling for a few moments, then snapping out of it and being a happy boy once again. Unnerved people,
undestandably. It was a bit scary. But I attributed that to his upbringing.
I detest people that maltreat animals. That's all.

Thanks Gumby. I to hate to see shelters full of animals bought on a whim. Thats why I'm going thru a rescue organization to get him/her. I've lined up a vet that is familiar with their health needs, found a pet store that sells the correct feed for them, and I have a store close by that has fresh vegtables and fruit cause they like that.  Your correct that , if not fed correctly and trained properly they can get huge.   :22yikes:  But thats not healthy for them.  I also have a babysitter for times like when I'm going to Carlisle or something that will come everyday and tend to his needs. She loves all animals.

But anyway when I started this thread I was looking for some input from others that may have raised a pet pig. And I expected all the " can allways eat it "  and " bacon " jokes. It's all cool.  :2thumbs:

I might have to wait just a little while to get him though. Were planning to have a car show/pig roast in the back yard middle of this month.  :roflsmiley:  Got about 25 cars lined up, Daniel is roasting the dinner.    :rebel:

If you would have posted this about a month earlier, I could have fixed you up with a Jullian miniature  was my sons girlfriends pet pig  they only get about 30# or so. Loves to eat kale and fresh greens got up every morning around 4 a m and was noises as all h:ll until it got fed. She had to let it go because her lease didn't allow that type of pet  but it went to a good home.
