    When looking on the forum, at the cars for sale, I wish people would put the price in the title. That way you can discard the ones you cannot afford and save time trawling through loads of ads for ones that are of no use to you. For instance 1970 Challenger340 $48,000. One you look into it further, next bit of info would be where situated, ie Orlando, Florida. Then go into detail. I am currently getting funds together to buy any one of a few models, but think this may help everyone out. Are there any for sale in the UK on this forum or just U.S?

    there are 2 sections for cars for sale - this one is generally board members and one off users that come to advertise, mostly US and Canadian sellers. once in a while we see someone from Europe, Australia, Asia, etc come on to sell. The other section is labeled for Ebay/Craigslist - generally these are ones other board members find and post up, mostly random and the same scenario of mostly US/Canadian and a few overseas sellers.

    as for how folks list, there are no rules, just folks posting how they see fit. personally, I always try to put a better description in the header (Year/Make/Location/Price) so folks know what they are getting into before even clicking the link. but that's just me, everyone does it a little different.

                       I search CL in my area everyday. If a car catches my interest I always click on the ad regardless of the price in the header. I want to see if the seller is interested in trades, has other items of interest, made a typo on the price, etc. Do the same thing on parts. Sometimes you can see items in the pictures that aren't part of the ad, ask if they are for sale, and score a deal.

    I agree whole heartedly.  I've found great deals because of mistakes in the description price.

    BS27R1B, I wish I was able to spend silly amounts on the car of my dreams, but unfortunately have other commitments in my life, like my house, my wife and kid. So please do not think that I am not serious, am just waiting till next year when we move to realise some capital to buy a running restoration, I would love to buy one all done but they are silly money in the UK. Here it is as though $1=£1

    No problem but as others have pointed out the fun is in the chase and seldom will you find exactly what you want served up on a plater.
    I started with a three hundred dollar car many years ago, raised four children and put them though various levels of post secondary education. And as a Canadian have usually had to pay a premium exchange rate.
    If you think it is hard work making a few extra clicks sorting through cars you would have been really frustrated back in the days of just Hemmings and a long distance phone line.
    Enjoy the hobby and get your kids involved. :2thumbs:

    Someone once told me,

    "You can never see enough of (insert what your looking for here) to make a proper decision"

    There are reasons for eg, this car is 20,000 and this one is 15,000.

    I've taking this line of thought thru everything from cars to real estate to cats and dogs (just joking with the CnD's.
