6301 Intake Manifold on 383 mopar SUCKS with 1411 Edelbrock
« on: January 14, 2016 - 04:30:08 PM »
I've got a 383 block from 69' that has 906 heads and the 2806301 intake manifold.

I want to get a winning combo with the manifold or the carb.

SUGGESTIONS please?

I Assume it's easier to source a performer? intake from Edelbrock and mate that to the 1411 750 cfm edelbrock I have.    NO SPECIAL work done to the block but an RV cam.

I've run 383s for years and my favorite intake back in the day was an Edelbrock DP4B dual plane.  My mostly stock motor ran great with it.   If you don't care about period correct the Edelbrock Performer RPM is even better.  When I built the motor I stepped up to either an original Torker or six pack setup.  You'll be very happy with either the DP4B or RPM.
