Who's in for a loooong ride in Ontario
« on: December 07, 2015 - 08:55:15 PM »
I watched pale rider's video and now I'm pumped.  :jumping: So I got to thinking that maybe a few of us could get together next summer and do a three (or so) day trip. One scenario would have us head north, maybe Sudbury/North bay, maybe Algonquin. Try to connect with members along the way and catch the show in Gravenhurst on the way back on June 18. Lots of time to plan, I'm just planting the seed. Is anyone interested? Not looking for a committment. Jaybee, Alan, Jason, Ray. I already talked to Brad. Ian, you're riding shotgun  :grinyes:

It sounds like a great idea but I don't think I will be able to do something like that because of my health.
If you do such a trip & Brad goes along make sure he uses that expensive, top of the line, China made dash cam to record the trip.
You might want to pack a few extra units just in case they fail on the long bumpy roads.

I guess I should watch the video???

I am very interested...not sure I can make it happen, but I love the idea. Have to plant the seed with the wife

Are you thinking leaving Friday home on Sunday or something longer?

I suggested that weekend because we could hit the Gravenhurst car show on the Saturday. 400-500 cars. It's Father's day weekend so most would likely want to be home on Sunday. If we left Thursday we could likely make it home on Saturday evening after the show. The whole thing is wide open right now, we can do whatever works for everybody.

If you guys pass through the Ottawa area I'd come out for a meet and greet!

Unfortunately I am already driving across Canada with a bunch of buddies next summer so I can't justify 2 road trips.

I have been to Algonquin Park a billion times and every time it's breathtaking but I usually park and hike in for a couple of days. If your going up north I have always found lake Superior national park to be awesome and easy to access off the trans Canada.

You could always time this with something like mopar fest to get more people on board? great place to end a roadtrip! I love seeing cars covered in bugs and driven at car shows.
