Don't have measurements but found a picture that can give you the idea. The holes are 3/16" if I recall and are drilled right down the center of the 1" wide ridge. The two curved end pieces have their own six (3 each) clips. You can barely see the three holes for the curved end piece, and you can see how the top and bottom strips have six clips each. The two straight pieces are put on with the white clips. The clips have a little peg that is pushed in which spreads the little tangs on the clip to secure it in the hole. As Johannes mentioned, it can be stressful putting the chrome strip onto the clips. I'd recommend putting maybe a 3" long block of wood (with a rag over it) flat on the molding strip and giving the block of wood a sharp rap to pop the molding strip onto the clip. They ARE tight. BTW, you can see that the tail panel was masked off down the middle of that ridge, painted organisol black, and then the clips were put on.
