Stage III is the way to go especially if you drive anything modern now (meaning something that handles).

 Just installed my stage 3 about a month ago. Had a hard time deciding as well on which firmness to get but glad I listened to the advice of others. Saw several posts where people who had stage 2 wish they had stage 3 but didn't see anyone who felt it was a mistake to go with 3 to begin with.

My initial driving response was that it felt almost too firm. But I was only comparing it to the loose and sloppy feel I had in my original box. After a couple of drives, I couldn't be happier with the way it feels.

While I never tried a Stage 2 box, I have the Stage 3 box and it feels like a modern car. No where near the effort needed for manual steering. I'm happy with it.

hey Brad, any I assume you are using fast ratio arms too?  any issues with clearance of headers?

I'm using headmans and it did hit slightly almost rubbed a hole through before I caught it and tapped slightly to get clearance.

I ended up ordering Stage II.... no experience with it yet...installed it 14 days ago...
Had some correspondence with FF regarding lowering the servo steering pressure (using shims) versus have FF installing their stronger springs internally in the steering worm gear (Stage II and III).... never got a good answer other than "mixing modifications = confusion"

My theory is that IF I'm unhappy with Stage II THEN I'll consider lowering the steering servo pressure using shims....

On the other side, we KNOW that whatever modifications we ourselves choose to to will be THE VERY BEST... as we NEVER do mistakes.
...and as such my decision for choosing Stage II is OF COURSE the correct one !!!!
