torque box question
«

This spring I'm going to add torque boxes to the front and rear. I'm looking at the ones from US Car Tool and Auto Rust Tech. They look a little different but I'm sure they work pretty much the same. Does anyone have a preference to one over the other? I don't mind that they don't look original so keeping that in mind would there any reason to use factory correct boxes over after market boxes?

The ones from the companies you mentioned are probably stronger then the current reproductions of the originals....

I've seen both and installed the US Cartool ones and, as Alan stated, they are thicker. They require some trimming and fitting, but seem quite stout.

Thanks for the input. I was leaning toward the US Car Tool ones anyway. I expect to do some fitting, I just wish I would have done this years ago before I painted the bottom. Well no big deal, I can match the paint.
