Are we "frugal"?
« on: June 06, 2005 - 07:04:57 PM »
My car friends(gm and ford) say we mopar people are frugal. Are they right? Not just cars and parts, everything.
I will admit I do look for bargins on most anything by shopping around.
Have you people ever heard of this? :gripe:

I'm not sure how Mopar guys can be considered frugal when the parts are at least twice as expensive  :dontknow:
Look up an aluminum intake from Summit for a Chevy and then for a Mopar and tell me who's getting the raw deal.

:iagree: When some parts cost as much as the Fords & Chevs themselves you'd be stupid not too search for bargins.

Thats why swamp meets are good, NO ONE goes to swaps meets talking about the most expensive things they got...... ::)
It's always, "Mannnn, awesome 8-3/4"!!!  :o :D" "How much did ya get that for mate!?!?"  :D "$67"  8) :grinyes:

My understanding is that frugal does not mean cheap, being frugal is actually being thrifty, or to make something work or last as long as possible, to get the most out of a product, etc. And we Mopar people do get the most out of our rides: fun, looks, adventure, power, pleasure, compliments,........etc.  Yeh, I guess we are frugal, lol

Yeah, Mopar parts are too expensive to replace foolishly.  Always try to repair before replacement.  And even "bargain" Mopar parts usually cost more than the others.  Go figure?   :dontknow:
