I can respect a well done car regardless of how it is done (doesn't mean I like it) but this is the great thing with the hobby, you can like what you like. The problem I think comes in when the terms are used to classify a poorly done car; it is like it taints the term and in many cases why some of us don't like a certain "type"; because we have seen a lot of very bad cars with that specific title. The same deal occurred with Pro Street; initially it was very attractive, basically street legal pro stock style cars. However it didn't take very long for people to start chopping up nice cars to try and get the "look" without any of the engineering or performance which ultimately diluted the title and soured it. I should probably also mention that typically pro street cars were not typically known for their ability to stop, handle, etc. They looked cool, but in most cases were very hard to drive. This gave rise to trying to achieve the "look" without the expense; things like fake blowers, stripe kits, etc became plentiful.
I do agree with the comment about Chip; hugely talented guy but for whatever reason he just doesn't get Mopars very well.
