challenger hood stopper insert/nut wanted
« on: January 25, 2016 - 11:10:04 AM »
I am looking for the threaded insert (nut/clip?) that is attached to Challenger (70-74) front fenders. This is the part that the hood stopper is threaded into. What I need is circled in the pictured below. It is attached to the fender with metal ears that stick through the fender and are bent over from below. To be safe I would like someone to cut the part off a junk fender and I would remove the part myself so that all of the ears remain intact. Again, I am not looking for a hood stopper. People seem to be confused about what I'm taking about, even with the picture.

thanks
Chris

I should have it from a 74 challenger. I'll check to make sure it isn't too rusty.

Here is the passengers side of a 74 challenger .  The bumper did not turn by hand . Today I'll have more time and I'll see how rusted the threads are and unscrew the bumper.
