radiator water neck height restriction question (cuda)
« on: February 09, 2016 - 12:35:26 AM »
How much room is there to play with from the top of the upper radiator brace to the header panel ?    My radiator is sitting a little higher due to the XV brace.  Thanks anyone!!    R/T

The common tests are either aa couple blobs of modeling clay or a loose wads of tin foil at the highest point then close the hood.... Works on air cleaners, radiators whatever you need to test...

An item I have been using is the florist foam. Crushes easily and retains its shape. Probably a bit much for your application but throwing it out there.

I lay out a series of strips and then close the hood. It gives me an exact representation of the underside contours and locations.

Yeah that pic says a lot thanx!!   My question is worded improperly.  I am wondering how much room past the top of the upper rad brace is there?   Looks like those scoops you made are like 3" over.   So I should have no issues. ( fingers crossed )   Thanks for the help!   And love what you got goin on there thumper!      R/T

Yes there is some room up above.

Building a twin turbo setup. Got a build thread going in the restored section.
