Any thoughts about how this kit would affect / impact the performance of a car?   Would you even notice you did this?

I like MSD stuff. That distributor looks pretty wide though and room is tight in that area on a big block.

Before you pull the trigger, I would highly suggest you consider a Firecore set up.  Contact Ron and he can give you a good comparison between MSD and Firecore, straight up good guy and VERY knowledgable.  Tell him your current set up and goals and he will help you.  ron.wilson1@live.ca

A strong ign system is important but having said that  if everything is working 100% there will be little gain spending all that $$ , you want an adjustable dist to maximize the advance curve , the ECU has to switch fast to keep up with high RPM & good wires are a must , but simple upgrades such as a Revnator ecu Firecore wires & the Mopar or Firecore adjustable dist will get you as much gain or more . This should save some $$ too.

If you didn't have any of those parts ....maybe? I'm using a stock distributor form a jobber/rebuilder and a MSD ignition box, coil and wires.  I'm happy/satisfied with what I have?

I have that ign system for the most part. My dist is a mopar performance piece. I think you will see/feel a distinct improvement in the idle, bottom end - acceleration. I did.

I have used an MSD box and coil on about 5-6 dif cars, and loved it, but...........

For the first time I used that exact same distributor that comes in that kit, and it lasted maybe 300 miles before module inside went out, a very common prob with that distributor IAW the net.  The module itself can be bought, maybe an indicator it might be a problem with the line

Awesome advice!   I'm still getting into my cuda as I have no idea about the clue / condition of many components.  Right now i'm having trouble getting power to the wheels... I can see the coil arc when revving and know i'll have to get that far and I have no clue about my distributor make/model etc.
