WIW SE parts.
« on: February 21, 2016 - 09:18:34 PM »
I hate WIW posts but I need to know value on some SE stuff to make a decision on keeping my Green R/T SE. I'd like to know approx value on;

SE Headliner core (the fiberglass deal),
Rear window plug complete with inside and outside moldings and window.
Rear window plug but not complete, just the plug.
Upper console, one in mint condition, one cracked but easily repairable. I think I have trim for both.
SE dome light.
Vinyl roof molding with new clips.
New fabric for the headliner in black, supposed to be the correct stuff.

Thanks
Sheldon

Headliner should be good for 5-600 easy... They are impossible to find & broken when you do...
Complete window a buddy sold one recently for $250
Plug...Not much....
Upper Console Mint $250ish  Cracked $100-$150?
Dome Light  $150ish
SE top trim $200
New Fabric $75ish

I thought you had already sold the green car ?

Did you ever find the master cylinder you and I were talking about ?

Alan, no sorry it's gone I guess (I know I never sold it though so if I find it I'll ship it to you). I have $12k down on the green car but it's been a few months, so I am thinking of keeping it and paint the roof green and make it into a straight R/T rather than deal with all the SE stuff. Anyway probably just a crazy idea (well I know it's a crazy idea). If I do this I guess I should keep the SE stuff anyway but I'm tired of my house looking like a Chrysler parts department from the 70's.

Dean should have sent it to me.....He backed out because of the added shipping costs, but I would have finished it by now and he could have sold it as a running driving car... :nono:

Yup: One way or another it will be running in about a week. If I don't have the balance $$$ by then I'll call my vinyl guy one more time and if he can't get it done it will go to my painter and it will be a slick top and finished within a month for sure. I don't like cars being not together. I've decided I'll keep the SE stuff with the car if I go that way though, it would be too hard to find the stuff later.

Weren't original headliners made of cardboard?

I think Dayclona makes fiberglass ones.

Yes, It was sort of a cardboard/hardboard hybrid... Mike @ Dayclona & SE Headliners both have supplied them... But getting one is always a long wait & last I heard both sources are in the 5-$600 range.. Plus shipping..

Hmm: I didn't know that, that explains why this one doesn't look 46 years old, it must be one of Mike's.
