Torque boxes ?
« on: June 13, 2005 - 06:26:37 PM »
Just wondering, I have a 1970 R/T 440 auto Challenger, and it does have torque boxes both in front and rear, so is this a standard factory weld in for an R/T 440-4bbl or does it have these boxes due to the fact its optioned with the A36 Performance axle package, that is included: 3.55 SG in 8 3/4, heavy duty suspensioin (hemi suspension) and max cooling package.

I believe the only torque boxes from the factory were on the hemi so if you have a hemi suspension package maybe those too

I thought all Hemi's and Six Pack cars had them. I know my T/A's have them and I thought 440 6 packs cars did as well. But I can't remember how they actually choose the cars they went on(specs).   :dontknow:
