master cylinder pushrod spacing question.
« on: March 07, 2016 - 08:19:01 PM »
So went with this aftermarket master with a 4 to 2 stud adapter plate.  The manufacturer says there should be .000 to .005 gap. between the two.  My pushrod is too long. Can I just pack the plate off the booster a little? Maybe 1/2"   Not sure you can tell from the pic.  But that shows where it should be.     Any help appreciated.   Pretty limited directions.    Or  There's an aluminum spacer that goes in the master that I could cut down.  Mustang stuff.  Anyone deal with an issue like this before?     How hard is it to get the pushrod out?  Cut that down and weld it up?      Hmmm.   :1zhelp:

A spacer plate is probably the easiest route
