I'm in the process of completing my 8.75" Sure Grip rear end and have two questions.

1. Can anyone tell me the CORRECT location and type of markings that I can install on the casing?  It's a 1970 489 Case, Sure Grip and 3:23 Gear set.

2. I need to know what the correct gear oil is that I will need to use. I know there is a specific type for sure grip assemblies.

Thanks much!

I put in a sure grip additive I buy directly from Chrysler. I'm sure there's lots on the market.

As for markings, there's no right or wrong, usually you just put back on what you found.

Markings along the bottom for a 3:23 sure grip are three black and one orange.
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Thanks!

Do you have any photos of the markings? The rear end is missing them- as it has been repainted.

I would use 80w-90 GL4 gear oil with additive
