Me and some of the local car guys visited Volo yesterday. It's always an interesting place to check out. They have cars in a more or less permanent collection, along with some vehicles that are temporarily on display, in addition to the large number of cars that are for sale. Been a couple years since I stopped in, and saw some cool stuff they have currently on display that I hadn't seen before, like a exhibit of Duesenbergs and a display of vintage snow mobiles and snow machines.
I checked out the blue cuda and it is a nice appearing car. Paint and trim really nice. Hood was closed and they have signs up saying you'll be arrested and prosecuted if you mess with anything, so I wasn't going to open the hood!
They had the car up on some spacers so the car was raised up 6 inches or so above the floor, and several mirrors so you could see some of the bottom. I cringed a little as it looks like they painted the whole bottom blue, like the fuel lines, brake lines, torsion bars. I couldn't see the rear and didn't get down on my hands and knees to look, but I hope the rear axle and springs weren't painted blue too! But what I saw looked like someone got lazy. You are supposed to disassemble the car before painting, or mask off if you aren't doing a ground up resto!
But it was a sharp looking car, I'd say $32K plus or minus a little for my estimate of value.
I took some pictures and can post later when I am home and download the pictures from my camera.
