71 340 cuda muffler dimensions?
« on: March 23, 2016 - 02:09:23 PM »
looking to see if someone has some info about the muffler for a 71 cuda.
not the resonators, but the mufflers (that sit on each side of fuel tank.)
diameter, length etc.
they appear to be round?
what is the length, and center or offset inlet?
I think the outlet must be off set and the opposite
has a hangar that mounts to bracket from trunk floor...
this will have the 'cuda exhaust tips that pass through rear valance.

looking to see if

would work. looks correct but again unsure of what the dimensions should be.

thanks

That's a smaller diameter pipe used on single exhaust /6 or 318.......I can get you #s on an OE muffler used on dual exhaust models if you still need

I have a couple of mufflers sitting in my "inventory" for a future install.  I can take some pics and measurements tonight for you.

They are not factory mufflers, but should be very close.
