for those of you who have ordered from speedhut....
« on: March 31, 2016 - 04:15:50 PM »
I just placed an order and submitted my payment. I received my transaction receipt and all is well. Then I received a second e-mail with a 'paypal payment request' from speedhut for an additional $50...what the heck is that?? Anyone else get that? I'm calling them after work but figured I'd ask in advance...

I didn't get that, I would call Speedhut as ask them about it. Might be a scam of some sort.

Customer service said its legit. Covers the cost to have the speedhut logos removed....why there is no detail on the email or price not included at checkout isn't cool. The rep didn't seem to think it was a big deal...

Did you guys have the logos removed?

hmmm you would think there would be some note about that or it would calculate automatically in the cart.

I ordered gauges for my Falcon & had the Ford oval silk screened on the gauges, $15 for the whole set back then & there is no speed hut logo.... I think in the past few years Speed Hut has gotten their name out there & while the basic pricing hasn't gone up a whole lot they have added lots of up-charges to increase the profit margins

Yea on there faq page it says the removal will add additional fees but they don't say how much. Nor do they add it to the checkout price. $50 for 5 gauges I can live with, anymore and I wouldn't cancelled most likely...

I had to pay extra to not have the speedhut logo also.  :2cents:

To be honest, I didn't think about not having it in there... Now that you mention it, perhaps I should have...
