70 4 bbl cuda rear ID
« on: March 16, 2016 - 01:25:54 PM »
I picked up a numbers matching (engine and trans) 70 4 bbl Cuda. It has an 8 3/4 but are there any numbers on the housing to link it to the car. Just FYI with the engine and trans being numbers matching, the mileage shows 52000, and I have no reason to believe it to be more due to the amount of time the car was in storage. I would believe the rear to be numbers matching as well. Does anyone have a color option break down for these cars? It is B5 B5. Any way thanks for any and all help.

No Vin Stamped on the rears of E-bodies so no way to prove its original.

Chrysler kept records of what percentage of total production was painted B5 and what percentage of cars got B5 interior....but you can't cross the two numbers to know how many were B5 B5. :2cents:

Here's a B5 B5 70 I just restored last year. My favorite colour combo   http://www.alangallantautomotiverestoration.com/B54406CUDA.html

I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Very nice. I am looking forward to restoring mine in a few years. Hopefully! Where would I get the Chrysler record info?
