Door Lock Assemblies 71 cuda

Hi!   
Both of my door lock assemblies (driver side and passenger) don't work.

Driver side: Key goes into lock and barrel swivels 360'.   What the heck?

Passenger side: Key goes in and swivels 90' left and 90' right. What the heck?

Neither can engage or disengage the locks.

Need a video or install diagram and maybe a little guidance thanks!!!!

Is there rods attached to them ?

Have not opened the door panel yet.

one may have no rod , one may be out of adjustment.

if one is attached there is a  cam inside that  lines up with the lock weight cam . if it is out of adjustment it wont lock.     look above the door latch there is a 1/4 access hole to get to the cam adjuster, allenhead set screw , but you need the door panel off to correctly set it .

sounds like you need to take the door panels off anyway.

As said. Before make sure your rods are attached , lubed and free working , on that's stuck will jam up the works also, here's some pics I had of the latch..

How the  cams are supposed to be lined up when latch is locked:




Allen bolt that's adjusted by the hole in the door  above the latch, loose it  and move the linkage  so the cams line up when in the locked position.
