New 4 speed conversion

I recently switched my auto  to a 4 speed. Everything is installed. Borg and Beck pp, over Center spring installed. Pedal is all the way up to the stop.  I have no free play at the pedal. The fork adjuster is out as far as it will go. I was assured all the parts are correct. It's the 15" clutch rod. At this point assuming everything is installed correctly it has to be either the fork, z bar, or clutch rod.
I really would hate to modify any of these parts. Any ideas??

umm yeah if the nut is all the way out at the end of the adjuster rod there will be no play , you need to lengthen the adjuster rod as it wears so back the nut up closer to the loop end of the adjuster rod / shorten it !

Ran in to another minor thing. Starter sounds funky. With the inspection cover off  it looks seated in the bell housing bore. It does look tight to the flywheel. It sounds like it's too tight to come back out. Being as they are tapped holes, is there any way to shim it? Anyone else experience this its a mini starter been on the car for years with the auto tranny never had a bit of trouble with it.

I had a little problem the starter wouldn't disengage for a couple seconds after I changed flywheels . I removed the starter and ground the bolt hole on the starter with a dermal to move it away from the flywheel a little. Worked for me.
