I'm in the market for a used Challenger R/T (because it's what I can reasonably afford, what with all I want to do with it) but I'm not satisfied with keeping it at the 375 horsepower from the factory. I got to drive a 2015 R/T Scat Pack with 485 and that felt good, lots of fun, those things are FAST. But, I still could have gone for a little more power. So I'm considering stroking it to 6.4, or doing forced induction, or possibly both (if both, stroking first and FI later). Or, if I feel like getting really expensive, swapping it out for an Arrington 6.4 or 426 long block. If I'm going to use a supercharger, it will be a Whipple 2.9L from Arrington. Overall goal is to produce somewhere around 550-600 WHP.
If I stroke the motor, what will I need to use besides the stroker kit and bore the cylinders? What cam should I use?
If I go FI, what do I need to use besides the Whipple completion kit?
If I swap motors, what will that require?
I'm going for an auto trans, what upgrades will that need? I'm already planning on upgrading the rear axle and drive shaft.
Pros and cons to each option?
